Executive Function Coaching

From Overwhelmed to Empowered

Executive Functioning Skills Coaching

Executive functioning coaching helps students build the skills they need to manage school—and life—with greater confidence and independence. These skills include planning, organization, time management, task initiation, prioritization, goal-setting, emotional regulation, and follow-through.

This type of coaching is especially helpful for students who are bright and capable but struggle to consistently show what they know. Students may feel overwhelmed by deadlines, have trouble breaking assignments into manageable steps, procrastinate despite good intentions, or become easily discouraged when work feels unstructured or demanding.

Students with ADHD or ADHD-like challenges

Students with learning differences or processing challenges

Gifted or high-achieving students who struggle with organization or time management

Students transitioning to middle school, high school, or college

College-bound students who want to strengthen independence and self-advocacy

Any student who feels “stuck,” overwhelmed, or frustrated by school expectations

Coaching is practical, personalized, and strengths-based. Students learn concrete systems and strategies they can use immediately—while also developing self-awareness, accountability, and confidence that carry far beyond the classroom.

Program Structure

Executive functioning coaching is delivered through weekly one-on-one sessions, held either in person or via Zoom. Sessions are highly individualized and focused on building practical systems and habits that students can apply immediately to their academic and daily routines.

To ensure strategies are effective beyond the coaching session, the program includes regular family and parent check-ins. These check-ins help align expectations, reinforce structure at home, and ensure the supports in place are working throughout the week—not just during sessions.

Most families begin with a 12-session coaching package. At the end of this cycle, we reassess together as a team—student, family, and coach—to evaluate progress, adjust strategies, and determine next steps.

The ultimate goal of coaching is to build independence and confidence by helping students develop personalized systems and behaviors that truly work for them, empowering them to manage responsibilities on their own over time.
