Why I Love This Work

Every student brings a unique contribution and offers real value to a prospective college. What they need is guidance, structure, and support to navigate the process and ensure they are putting their best foot forward. That’s where I come in.

My role is to help students express themselves with clarity and confidence. To achieve this, we engage in a collaborative process that includes self-assessments, an in-depth review of their activities (including identifying where they may want to build on an interest), guided research into colleges, and structured interviews to elicit key themes and insights. This process not only helps build a strong application tailored to each school, but it also helps students gain a clearer sense of themselves and their potential paths, which serves them long after the college admissions process is over.

The college application season can be overwhelming, stressful, and sometimes even emotionally charged for families navigating it for the first time—or the fifth. I aim to be a calm and thoughtful presence in that process, helping to alleviate some of the pressure while offering expert guidance. My goal is to create a sense of structure and support so that families can focus more on celebrating this milestone than worrying about every detail.
